Square feet

The work, composed of 36 ink drawings forming a looping animation, shows a character walking in circles on a grid. Once again, the artist employs his own body to explore the relationship with architectural space. This simple gesture reveals a duality: on one hand, the body is trapped by rigid geometric boundaries; on the other, there's an inward shift toward reflection, suggesting that walking is also inhabiting thought itself.

Square feet thus presents a synthesis of space reduced to its geometric essence, and a man inhabiting its limits. The minimal, schematic space emphasizes the tension between architectural rationality and the organic, circular movement. The work shows how we inhabit not only physical places, but also mental spaces through which we transit cyclically, reflectively, and introspectively—inevitably conditioned by the structures that contain us.
